Soyuncu hoping to seal Arsenal switch after snubbing Turkish offers

Turkey international Caglar Soyuncu would be keen on a switch to Arsenal, amid reports that new Gunners boss Unai Emery is eyeing his services. Emery has already made two additions to his Arsenal squad, signing Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer from Juventus and capturing Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen. Freiburg defender Soyuncu – who has started 49 Bundesliga matches since moving to Germany in 2016 - has emerged as another potential recruit, and a move to the Premier League would interest the 22-year-old. "I hope I go to Arsenal," Soyuncu said, as reported by Gunes. "I really want to play in the Premier League, but everything depends on the team. I have a contract [at Freiburg] for three more years." Soyuncu also revealed he has received proposals from a number of sides from Turkey, although he is not considering a return to his homeland. "I received bids from some of the teams in Turkey," he added. "I would not be able to give the team a name, but I did not accept it. I do not think about playing in Turkey at the moment. I want to continue my career in Europe, but of course, we do not know what will happen in the future. "One day I wear the uniform of a Turkish club, but this is not necessarily the time. My current goal is to achieve greater achievements in a larger team."

Forsberg opens transfer door to Arsenal, Liverpool & Roma

Emil Forsberg has offered hope to the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Roma by hinting that he could be on his way out of RB Leipzig this summer. The Sweden international is under contract in Germany until 2022, but has suggested that a move elsewhere could be on the cards. Having impressed over the course of four years with Leipzig, interest in the 26-year-old has been building steadily. Leading sides in England and Italy are said to be plotting big-money moves, with Forsberg conceding that he hopes to be turning out for one of “the strongest clubs in the world” in the not too distant future. He told Fotbollskanalen: “I'm ready for the next big step. That's going to be very interesting.  “I am in dialogue with RB and always had a good relationship with the club.  “I have the dream of playing for the strongest clubs in the world.” Arsenal were recently urged to make a move for Forsberg by Anders Limpar, with the former Gunners winger eager to see a fellow countryman complete a switch to north London. He told Football.London: “If we get Emil Forsberg, we will be so lucky. “He’s the biggest prospect we have in Europe. He has been really good in the Bundesliga and has been outstanding for the national side. “If we get him, we would get a hell of a player who could produce points with assists and goals. “Please God, we should sign him straight away - if we can.” For now, Forsberg is away on international duty at World Cup 2018. He did figure in Sweden’s opening 1-0 victory over South Korea, but struggled to make his mark in that contest and is aware that he needs to offer more if he is to be of benefit in the present and a man on the move in the future. “I have a lot of pressure on me, but I like it,” Forsberg added. “I want it to be that way. When I'm not playing well, it's not good. So I have to be good. I'm trying my best.”

Hazard, Courtois, Fellaini & Alderweireld all on the move? Busy summer predicted for Belgians by Borkelmans

Eden Hazard has been told by former Belgium assistant manager Vital Borkelmans that “now is the moment” to leave Chelsea, while Thibaut Courtois, Marouane Fellaini and Toby Alderweireld are also tipped to be on the move. A difficult 2017-18 campaign for Chelsea and the ongoing uncertainty that has brought in both a playing and coaching capacity has seen plenty of high-profile figures linked with summer moves away from Stamford Bridge. Hazard is chief among them, with the 27-year-old playmaker having been mooted as a Real Madrid target for some time now as he continues to leave the exit door open in west London. Borkelmans believes this could be the summer in which a big-money transfer is done, with the time having arrived for a man considered to be a member of the global elite to prove that he truly belongs in that company. He told bwin: “I think now is the moment that Hazard has to move, which will most likely be to Spain. “He has played a lot of years in the Premier League, but I think it’s time for him to move on.” Hazard could well be joined in Spain next season by current club and international colleague Courtois, with the Chelsea goalkeeper another long-standing target for Madrid. Borkelmans added on the 26-year-old’s future: “If the club are offered good money, then I think he will go. “He likes Chelsea and is happy there, but it could be time for him to make a transfer to another country for a different type of competition.” While Chelsea may be facing a fight to keep two prized assets, they are expected to welcome another Belgian back onto their books in the form of Michy Batshuayi – who impressed on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season before picking up an unfortunate injury. “Batshuayi won’t leave until he finds out what’s going on with the managerial status at Chelsea,” said Borkelmans. “He wants to play first-team football, but if Chelsea find a new manager and Batshuayi fits the role, then he will stay. “He was successful at Dortmund and they will want to keep him, so that’s always an option, but he is a great player, especially in the box, as he always has a knack of finding space.” Of the other Belgians being linked with moves elsewhere this summer, Borkelmans feels the end of the road may have been reached for Fellaini and Alderweireld at Manchester United and Tottenham respectively. He said on reported Arsenal target Fellaini: “He may have to leave to find regular football, he likes to play and wants to get a lot of games, but if he can’t then he may have to move on.” And added on United-linked Alderweireld: “I think Alderweireld will leave this window and he may take the chance to move abroad. [Mousa] Dembele may do the same as well, as every team is looking to have a player like Alderweireld or Dembele. “They’ve played a few years at Tottenham now and for as many good players that Tottenham have brought in, they have also lost some.”
