Thibaut Courtois would like Belgium team-mate and Chelsea star Eden Hazard to join him at Real Madrid. Hazard revealed in early February he had made a decision over his future, but the star attacker is yet to announce his plans. The 28-year-old, whose contract runs until 2020, has long been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and Courtois wants Hazard to move to the La Liga giants. "I don't know if he is going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club want him," the goalkeeper told Onda Cero on Wednesday. "For me, he is a great player, but I don't decide those things. "Each one decides what he does with his life. For me, he is one of the best in the world and as a friend I would like him to be here." Courtois played four seasons at Chelsea before making the switch to Madrid in August last year. Hazard has scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 29 Premier League games this season, with Chelsea sitting sixth in the table. The 28-year-old scored on his 100th appearance for Belgium on Sunday but dismissed reports that a deal with the Spanish giants is already done. "There is still nothing," he said when pressed by for an answer about his Madrid future while on international duty . Chelsea return to Premier League action Sunday as they travel to face Cardiff City, with a clash against Brighton to follow on Wednesday. The Blues are also still in the running in the Europa League, where they are set to face a quarter-final against Slavia Praha, with the first match to be played on April 11 and Chelsea hosting the second leg a week later with a crunch clash against Liverpool tucked in between.'Spurs and Man Utd will finish in the to...

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will have sealed Champions League places come the end of the season, predicts former Spurs and England midfielder Darren Anderton. The race for the top four is tightly contested at the moment with Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and United all battling it out. Despite United being two points off the pace, and Spurs losing three of their last four, Anderton believes that those two sides will occupy third and fourth position ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea. “It’s always all about the run you’re on because results breed confidence. Spurs have definitely had a wobble and lost some games that really they shouldn’t have – the Southampton game, the Burnley game," said Anderton, speaking exclusively to 888Sport . "These are games where if you want to be in the top four or challenge for the title you can’t lose and especially in the manner that they did. "So that was disappointing and then, of course, the immediate reaction is to start looking down and start worrying. It would be quite a negative to not finish in the top four, especially with the new stadium coming next week. “I still fancy Spurs though to join Liverpool and Manchester City. Then I’d go for United.” Although his former team have been through a run of poor form lately, Anderton still believes they are just as good as Premier League leaders Liverpool, with the two sides due to clash in what will be a huge game in the title race on Sunday. He added: "When I look at Liverpool I don’t see them being a better team than Spurs to be honest but they’ve done the business and got the points. They’re the one who is still up there. “It’s a tough one to call. I went to watch the game at Wembley earlier this season and Liverpool were by far the better team, no doubt about it they were different class and Spurs struggled to keep with them. "But are they still at that level? Now, this weekend it could go either way with so much talent on display. There’s a great work ethic across both teams and it will be some battle. I’m looking forward to watching it, that’s for sure.”Hudson-Odoi ready to start for Chelsea, ...

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s performances for Chelsea and England should be enough to warrant a place in the Blues’ starting line-up, according to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The former Stamford Bridge favourite believes that the 18-year-old deserves a chance from the start in Maurizio Sarri’s team after his game time this season has been largely reduced to starts in the FA Cup and Europa League. He starred for Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions as they romped to a 5-1 win in Podgorica against Montenegro on Monday in Euro 2020 qualifying. It was his second international cap in a week, after making his debut from the substitutes' bench in Friday’s 5-0 win against the Czech Republic at Wembley, yet he is still to start for Chelsea in a Premier League game. And now Hasselbaink has called for his old team to give Hudson-Odoi a chance in league football. "It might be that he lifts the team in a different way and gives them a different dimension," he told BBC Sport. "Chelsea should bring more youngsters through. I would say Hudson-Odoi deserves a chance. "You have to say yes, he should be given a chance, because the others in his position are not really playing well at this moment. "The only one that is really producing his best - a seven or eight or sometimes a nine - is (Eden) Hazard." Chelsea are sixth in the Premier League under Sarri, with the manager having come under fire for a series of shaky performances that have placed the club at risk of failing to qualify for the Champions League for the second successive season. That has left the Italian’s position under serious threat, and his failure to entertain Hudson-Odoi as a possible starter has heightened the possibility that the teenager will push for a move away from Stamford Bridge. Bayern Munich made an unsuccessful bid for him in January. "It's easy to say things and criticise, but let's not forget what he has inherited and how the team was playing before he got there," said former Netherlands international Hasselbaink. "He changed the style totally and that's going to take time. "Consistency-wise, he will be a little bit disappointed. They should be better. "But it's his first season in England and he is learning. He has brought a lot of positive things to Chelsea. Let's not forget that."UEFA to investigate Dynamo Kiev over all...

Chelsea's complaint over the alleged racist abuse of Callum Hudson-Odoi during a Europa League clash at Dynamo Kiev will be investigated by a UEFA inspector. The Premier League side revealed last week that chairman Bruce Buck and their club secretary had spoken to UEFA's match delegate regarding an accusation of racist abuse of a Chelsea player in the closing stages of their 5-0 victory in Ukraine. In their statement, Chelsea pointed out that they expected “a fulsome investigation” to be carried out into the matter. The Blues said: "We can confirm a report of racist abuse directed at one of our players in the final minutes of the match in Kiev from a small section of home supporters. We wholeheartedly condemn such abhorrent behaviour. "The matter was reported to the referee at the final whistle and the chairman and club secretary spoke to the UEFA match delegate immediately after the match. We expect UEFA to conduct a fulsome investigation and we will provide full cooperation." UEFA has now confirmed an inspector will determine whether there is enough evidence to charge Kiev. "An ethics and disciplinary inspector has been appointed to evaluate a complaint lodged by Chelsea about the alleged racist abuse of the player Callum Hudson-Odoi," a statement from European football’s governing body read. "The ethics and disciplinary inspector will now evaluate whether or not there is sufficient evidence to open disciplinary proceedings against Dynamo Kiev in accordance with article 55(1)(f) and (2) of the UEFA disciplinary regulations. "Information in respect of this evaluation will be made available in due course." This update follows UEFA charging Montenegro with racist behaviour after alleged incidents that occurred in England's 5-1 win in Podgorica, when teenage winger Hudson-Odoi made his first senior start for the Three Lions. Speaking about the incidents in the Montenegro game, Hudson-Odoi said he had heard "monkey stuff". He told beIN SPORTS: "I don't think discrimination should be anywhere, we are equal. "We have to play a fair game and enjoy the moment, but when you're hearing stuff like that from the fans, it's not right, it's unacceptable. Hopefully UEFA deal with it properly."Hudson-Odoi told Chelsea Premier League ...

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been told it is “no longer a question of if but when” he is given a chance to shine from the start for Chelsea on a Premier League stage. In what has been an eventful 2018-19 campaign for the youngster, he was included from the off by England in a 5-1 Euro 2020 qualification victory over Montenegro on Monday. That outing, which represented his second senior cap, means he has figured for his country more prominently than he has for his club side in top-flight competition. Maurizio Sarri has handed the 18-year-old winger 19 appearances this season, but none of those have come within the starting XI for a Premier League game. That situation is expected to change in the near future, with Hudson-Odoi having shown with the Three Lions what he is capable of when given the freedom in which to express himself. Chelsea legend Pat Nevin believes more minutes are coming at club level, telling the Blues’ official website: “Callum Hudson-Odoi will arguably be buzzing even more by getting his first England cap and looking perfectly comfortable on that stage at such an incredibly young age. “It is no longer a question of if but when with regards to his impact for Chelsea in the Premier League. “The great thing for him is that he will not be jaded at this time of the season. “Others have had a long, hard slog, many with precious little rest from last season because of the World Cup, but Callum is as fresh as you could hope for and clearly straining like a held-back mustang ready to fly off the reins.” Having made his England debut off the bench against the Czech Republic, Hudson-Odoi was handed a starting berth by Gareth Southgate in Montenegro after seeing fellow teenager Jadon Sancho pick up a slight knock. The Blues starlet, who Goal revealed in January to be a top target for Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, will now be hoping to end the season on a positive note at club level. A big decision will then need to be made on his future over the summer, with no new contract having been signed at Stamford Bridge as yet.
